Do old buildings which represent our history stand in the way of development? A few would agree and many would disagree. If old buildings are repaired and reused instead of tearing them down, resources are efficiently used as the waste is reduced and resources are conserved. Now imagine if instead of repairing it, it had been torn down and a new Taj Mahal had been constructed. We know it could never be the same.
We should remember that the historic buildings are the valuable things that we have inherited. We are the ones who can ensure their preservation. If these are demolished, a part of human life will be erased.
