PTE Reading Reorder Paragraphs Tips – Example by Placing Connectors
In the previous PTE Rearranging Paragraphs example, Question is –

A: Furthermore, It is used to establish or confirm facts, reaffirm the results of previous work, solve new or existing problems, support theorems, or develop new theories

Changes we made – In point (A), we have added “furthermore” instead of point (C) and added “Therefore” in point (B). So let’s just begin with finding the solution and finding the connection of this paragraph.

Sentence 1 – Again we will begin with the defination – point (D).
Sentence 2 – Now the second pagragraph will be changed which is point (C) instead of point (A).
Sentence 3 – Just by changing the location of furthermore, the location of paragraphs also changed. So that’s why, we always say that look for the connectors carefully.
Sentence 4 and 5-
Point (B) – “Therefore” – So this can’t be the next paragraph because of “Therefore”. When we say, therefore, it means “as a result of”. As a result, point (B) should follow point (E). So point (E) will be our fourth sentence and point (B) will be our last sentence. Reason – Because in point (E) explanation is given, and {“therefore” point (B)} show result. Just by adding the word “therefore” which means “as a result of”, the locations of points (B) and (E) changed.

So be careful with the connectors, that’s why don’t ignore connectors. Just look at the connectors carefully, look at the name of the person carefully and this is how you can identify the sequence.
