Government Financial Support to Creative Artists Essay
People have different views about how monetary help should be facilitated by the government to support different the artists. Although there are good arguments in favour of artists’ sponsorship. I personally believe that there are many other funding options for such artistic people.
It is difficult to deny that artists are the reflection of the society. These natural talents have to be preserved because they help to promote the country’s name. For example, Udit Narayan Jha, the singer of Nepal is famous both in Nepal and India. He has played a vital role to introduce his country to the west. In addition, art also gives life to the country’s culture and tradition. Thus, such inspirational celebrities should be protected, honoured and sponsored by the government.
However, artists can earn name and fame very easily nowadays. With the rapid advent of media, artists can easily be renowned. They can explore their inner artistic qualities through different TV Programs or through different networking sites. In this way, they can easily find alternative fund sponsors and also could earn great money. For example, Samantha Jade became popular through the TV program X-factor. Now she is famous and hence got sponsorship through different factors. Therefore, it is not necessary for governments to subsidize their financial aid towards different artists.
In conclusion, it is not the sole responsibility of the government as an artist can generated funds from alternative sources which ultimately help them and the nation.
