PTE Microphone Position or Placement to Score High
PTE Microphone Position
Student gets low marks in PTE speaking just because of the position of the microphone. So what is the reason behind this –
One of the major reason is the position of your microphone. Your breathing noise can inter-fair with the microphone. So technically people those who are the mouth breather, especially girls whose voice is so soft, make sure you talk a little bit louder and position of your microphone should be correct.
Note – The correct position of the microphone is above your nose level and to the side of the mouth. If you will put microphone below the nose or in front of the mouth, your breathing noise may inter-fair with the pronunciation score. So make sure your microphone should be above the nose level.
Sometime it may inter-fair with the visual area or visual field, so make sure your microphone is straight. You can keep it straight, do not bend in front of your mouth or you can keep it about your nose level. Below nose is the wrong position.
Before the exam, you will get some time to check your microphone in the beginning. Make sure at that time, set your microphone at different positions and just listen to it, listen to your voice. It should be very clear, with above nose position, you may notice the voice is very clear as compared to below nose position.
This is very important section and doesn’t make this mistake to score better marks.
