PTE Describe Image – Marking Guide, Content Score, Weightage of Marks – In describe Image, Maximum marks for content are five.
Five Marks – Five marks are given if the person describes all the elements of the image, their relationships, possible developments and conclusion or implications.
Four marks – If the person describes all the key elements of the image and their relations, referring to their implications and conclusions.
Three marks – If the person deals with key elements of the image and refers to their implications and conclusions.
Two marks – If the person is dealing with only one key element in the image and refers to an implication or conclusion. Show basic understanding of several core elements of the image.
One mark – One mark is given if the person describes some basic elements of the image. But does not make clear their interrelations or implications.
Zero mark – Zero marks will be given the person mentions some disjointed elements of the presentation.
Note – So one thing to notice is key elements. Describe all the key elements, means describe all the important elements. It does not mean that the person should describe all the elements, all the things and all the variables are given in graph. In each and every graph, there are one to two important factors or sometimes two to three important factors which are known as key elements. So, five marks are given if the person describes all the key and important elements of the graph.
