First of all, in retell lecture the marks are awarded on the basis of content.
Five marks are given if the person retells all points of the presentation, describe characters, aspects and actions, their relationships, the underlying development, implications, and conclusions.
Four marks if the person describes all key points of the presentation and their relations referring to their implications and conclusions.
Three marks if the person deals with the most points in the presentation and refers to their implications and conclusions.
Two marks if the person deals with only one key point and refers to an implication or conclusion. Shows basic understanding of several core elements of the presentation.
One mark if the person describes some basic elements of the presentation but does not make clear their interrelations or implications.
Zero marks if the person mentions some disjointed elements of the presentation.
So technically, this sound so complex and believe us if you mention all the points said by speaker earlier and give short and sweet conclusion at the end, you will get more marks in the content section.
In order to get more marks in content, you need to improve your listening skills as well.
This is how total marks are awarded. 5 marks for content, 5 for pronunciation and 5 for fluency. In most of the time, we make the biggest mistake, we worry only about the content and in this way, we lose marks in Fluency as well as in Pronunciation.
